Yes we will, 10 meg connection actually. The only issue we seem to have with a 10 meg connection is some homo always sees it as a opportunity to DL some warez or w/e. I think I will be implementing a filtering service to kick this in the balls. If something is blocked that needs unblocked, someone can ask me. I use my personal modem so I don't like the idea that some of our attendees are probably torrenting or using P2P software on my connecting. That crap will come back on me.

Yeah, I understand. The reason I asked is because we are bringing up a new email server tomorrow and though I'm not directly involved I might get called. My options were: 1. Have Internet at LAN so I could VPN if needed. 2. Find a hotspot and VPN. 3. Drive back to Topeka.
With this information, unless I get called in the morning I should be at the LAN around 1. And the rain will kill us all...
well as backup I will bring my EOC-2610 I know Melted has a EOC-5610 at the Help Desk so we can always setup a backhaul as backup. In the process jamming at-least 3 WiFi channels for most of downtown emporia.
so thats 2x10Mb connections one residential "Melted's" and one soho/business "Help Desk"

You should be able to VPN just fine from the LAN. The VPN traffic won't hurt the bandwidth much at all. And with the new configuration to the router we use, you should have plenty of bandwidth to keep a stable connection.
I would just like to thank everyone who attended. We had a good turn-out, we replenished some very depleted funds, and I don't know about everyone else, but I had a lot of fun.
Not everything went according to plan, but what ever does anymore. I apologize for the lack of prizes. One way or another there will be prizes for the next LAN even if they come out of my own pocket. The good thing about bringing in a little extra funds, we can use that to provide some prizes.
